Heaton Chapel

Virgin Voyager heads North

A Perfect Place to Visit

During the last 25 years, Heaton Chapel has become very popular with commuters and young professionals.  The area has numerous parks, shops and amenties.  Café culture has become notable with the opening of numerous bistros.  The local centre also has an excellent choice of shops to meet all daily needs ranging from specialist butchers to large pet stores, and a musical instrument supplier to designer hair salons.

Heaton Moor Park was opened to mark Queen Victoria’s Jubilee in 1897.  Today the basic layout of the park remains much as originally planned with the trees planted in the early days now forming a most attractive setting.  It has two crown green bowling greens (including one in an unusual ‘clover leaf’ shape), a 5-a-side football pitch, gardens and a toddler play area.
