The Stanlow Refinery is the seventh largest oil refinery in Europe and produces one-sixth of the UK's petrol.
Crude oil is received st Stanlow from the Tranmere Oil Terminal via a fifteen mile pipeline to storage at Stanlow. Output is delivered by pipeline via the UKOP pipeline, road, rail, and the Manchester Ship Canal.
